Food for thought: What would you do if everyone on Earth gave you One Dollar?
The Attitude of an Alchemist…..
Our mission is very simple. Find the best ideas in the world and make them a reality. We as communities and as a planet have the technology to “Think” and make decisions as a group. It is time we started using this ability to engineer the planet we want to live on. We believe that every solution to every problem faced on Earth already exists, we just need a way to find those solutions and decide a course of action together as a single unit.
What is Public Alchemy?
Public : of or concerning the people as a whole.
Alchemy : the process of transmuting a common substance into a substance of great value
It’s a subscription based app where members pay $1 each month for the right to vote for the change they want to see in the world. Thinkers, Innovators, and Activists will present their concepts for a better world in a social media like format. Their post will include what they intend to do and how much capital they need to achieve their goal…
Alchemy members will have the responsibility of rating the submitted concepts by selecting the “Vote” box of the concepts they approve. This rating will carry on throughout the month then at the end of each month, the “Votes” will be tallied and the top 4 submissions will go to a final vote.
The users will receive a notification to vote for the concept they most approve. They will be given 24 hours to review the final concepts and make a decision.
The highest voted concept will get all the subscriptions for that month.
If there are 500 members the concept will get $500.. If there are 10,000 members the concept will get $10,000.
This system will eventually have many different levels of voting to subscribe to. Local, Provincial, National, International… Even your school or business will be able to use this system.
The Fail Safe
If upon reading this your mind settles upon potential corruption through imbalanced voting or hacking. Know that only paid members may vote and if there are more votes than members, the final selection process will take place again until the number of votes is no greater than the number of members. No member is able to vote or rate twice.
It could be possible, for example, that 51% of your community really loves grilled cheese sandwiches and decides to fund a grilled cheese cook-off each month. If this occurs repeatedly, it would be possible to break-off the two groups for separate voting until such a time as the opposition reaches equilibrium or the grilled cheese people change their voting patterns.
This version is a functional prototype with security precautions in place to protect all your information. Future versions will be built in blockchain to add further protection through encryption.
Conclusion
Humans can measure infinitesimally small quantum particles. We can fly in space. We can do triple backflips on dirtbikes. We have access to all human knowledge ever recorded right in our pocket.
Universal Democracy will pool all the infinite potential of humanity and let people guide their fate as a single entity. The only thing stopping us from turning Earth into Paradise is lack of effective communication. Crowdfunding sites like Kickstarter and Indiegogo raise Billions of dollars each year while social sites like Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube create a “hive mind” of Billions of people. Public Alchemy pairs these two systems in a forward-thinking transparent environment.
There are roughly 4.77 Billion cell phone users on Earth.. What if we could speak as one?
